ReactiveRisk delivers a decision centered process to enhance performance during maintenance troubleshooting.  Our comprehensive model includes an embedded risk analysis tool and is structured to capture the essential concepts essential for critical thinking and communication with coworkers during problem solving.

Up to this point there has been no defined terminology or basic conceptual framework for maintenance troubleshooting.  This has resulted in a lack of development of maintenance troubleshooting as a professional practice.  All successful professions rely on a common basic conceptual and communication framework as the fundamental starting point.

Innovation often is a result of a transfer of knowledge from one knowledge domain to another.  ReactiveRisk is broadly based on the scientific method. ReactiveRisk specifically mines the medical professions structured methodology for diagnosis and managing risk.  Science unlocks the mysteries of nature.  Medicine discovers the roots of illness and applies those discoveries to cure illness.  ReactiveRisk is concerned with uncovering the causes of failures in complex machinery and offers a model of decision making as a reference tool for the maintenance profession.

The ReactiveRisk Workspace application represents a process for analyzing data and depicting relationships, explanations, and the meaning derived from data analysis.  The ReactiveRisk workspace sheet is not a theoretical model however.  It is a practical everyday tool that is meant to be used in the workplace at the job site.  We laminate the Workspace sheet so it can survive the real world workplace.  The modern maintenance worker makes critical decisions every day, ReactiveRisk will help improve that process and make those decisions in a clearer, safer and more efficient manner.

ReactiveRisk is taught in an eight hour instructor led classroom environment.  After the initial presentation of the ReactiveRisk model, students are encouraged to use the model as a device to talk about their experiences in the field.  Student s will quickly realize the value of having a common ground when communicating the complex ideas and relationships that are involved in troubleshooting.  Throughout the class the dominant theme is risk awareness and management.
